This Yoga Class is a 60-min yoga class that is good for beginners as well as intermediates. Always adapt any moves that are overly difficult or at all painful, back off, and do it simpler, kinder, more patiently.
We move with a focus on every inhale and every exhale. And we guide the brain to a quieter place. Yoga is great for everyday relaxation in the body and mind, and especially helpful to reduces stiffness and the aches and pains that come from a lack of flexibility in muscles. Stiffness, lethargy and a groggy mind can come from being sedentary. Adding simple stretches and spine twists throughout your day keeps the blood flowing, muscles relaxed and the spinal cord communicating from brain to organs. Yoga also causes the brain to release serotonin – happy chemicals – so we feel uplifted afterwards.
Yoga is great for the spine, the back, the entire body – and for our outlook about life. It even massages your organs for better function, digestion, elimination and stronger immune system. It is especially good for relaxing the mind when in a state of worry or anxiety. Yoga stretches allow muscles to let go of guarding, release anxiety, fear, sadness, anger from your muscles and then your mind will follow!
